Us Construction served as the design-build partner for Bouchon Bistro, leading the project from its earliest due diligence stages through full construction management. Working alongside Maven Development, we helped evaluate the feasibility of the 1924 La Palma Building for a Thomas Keller concept and played an integral role in securing the brand's commitment to the space. As part of our design-build approach, we hired and oversaw the architectural team, while the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group engaged Tihany Design in New York for the creative vision.
The interior build-out required extensive technical coordination as we integrated Tihany's high-end design with the constraints and opportunities of a nearly 100-year-old historic structure. Our team modernized the building's infrastructure, reinforced existing conditions, and installed specialized mechanical, electrical, and kitchen systems all while preserving the architectural character of the landmark.
From procurement to daily management and final delivery, the project demanded exceptional craftsmanship and seamless collaboration between all partners. The resulting restaurant brings Bouchon's iconic brasserie experience to Coral Gables, marrying timeless design with the historic fabric of the La Palma Building.

Our scope included comprehensive infrastructure modernization of the 1924 building, structural reinforcement, installation of specialized kitchen systems for Michelin-level operations, and execution of Tihany Design's high-end interior vision. As the design-build partner, we led due diligence, hired the architectural team, and managed daily operations through final delivery. The result is a world-class restaurant that marries Thomas Keller's brasserie experience with historic Coral Gables character.
